Every rare book is a survivor. It has outlasted revolutions, fires, forgotten libraries, and the indifference of centuries and somehow found its way here, into your hands. At TRIANON, we collect and sell antiquarian books from the sixteenth to the early twentieth century, with a passion for the France of the Ancien Régime and the Enlightenment: the gilded spines, the crackle of period calf, the faint smell of old paper that no digital reproduction will ever replace. Our shelves hold the literature that shaped a civilisation : Corneille, Molière, Scarron, Florian, alongside the books that taught it how to think: theology, natural philosophy, medicine, commerce, travel. Each copy has a story. We try to find it. We describe condition honestly, identify editions precisely, and flag what we don't know. A book is not just a title, it is this copy, with this binding, this provenance, this inscription in a hand three hundred years old.
