Trine Rising: The Kinderra Saga: Book 1

She was born with every power-but choosing one amulet could destroy everything she loves.

In Kinderra, the gifted are born with one Aspect: Defense, Healing, or Sight. Young Mirana Pinal was born with all three, making her a Trine, one of the rarest and most powerful people her homeland has ever known.

Power must be bound to an amulet, a pure gemstone pendant that lets the gifted focus their magic beyond themselves. For Mirana, choosing one means marrying all three Aspects to it, and her visions have shown her the price: Kinderra in ruins, destroyed by her hand.

She has told no one but Teague Beltran, the powerless herbsman's apprentice she loves.

When a vision warns of an enemy attack, Mirana must reveal her true identity to save her people. As a ruthless warlord's armies close in, she faces an impossible choice: refuse the amulet and watch Kinderra fall, or claim it, unleash the full force of her magic, and risk sealing the fate she fears most.

Savior or destroyer. Only Mirana can decide which she becomes.

Trine Rising is the first book in The Kinderra Saga, an epic fantasy of forbidden power, treachery, and self-determination. Perfect for fans of Sarah McCarthy and Michael Edmond.

While other kids read comic books under the covers with a flashlight at bedtime, C.K. DONNELLY wrote fan fiction and fantasy stories. She used her love of writing to pursue a career in journalism and was honored with several press awards for business and economic reporting. She has also held careers in healthcare, and currently runs her own freelance writing and marketing support firm. She resides in Arizona with her oh-so-patient husband and her little black dog (who is equally patient). She no longer writes under the covers by flashlight. Usually.
