Translated by C.F. MacIntyre. Selected and with an Introduction by William A. Newsom. Nevada City: Printed by Harold Berliner (1988). Quarto, measuring 9 by 12 inches, bound in quarter green cloth and marbled boards, enclosed in a cloth slipcase. 105 pages, composed in Monotype Dante with titling in Monotype Fabritius. Printed letterpress in two colors on dampened Charter Oak paper handmade by J. Barcham Green, Ltd. Design and frontispiece illustration by Wolfgang Lederer. Limited to 150 copies. A mint copy. Corbiere, the sickly son of wealthy parents, died of tuberculosis at the age of 30. He published only a single volume of poetry during his life, in 1873, and it met with utter silence. It wasn't until 1883 when Verlaine discovered him and published his Les Poetes Maudits that Corbiere's fame as head of the Lost Generation became established. Bookseller Inventory # 325
