The Triumph of Technique: The Industrialization and Destruction of Rural America

The Triumph of Technique is a critique of modernism from the perspective of agriculture. It traces the roots of the contemporary crisis to the rise of the merchant class, the failure to control usury, the unlimited development of techniques in all spheres of life, and the rise of scientism. The result has been the devastation of the American countryside. It is the story of the defeat of Democracy by Money

It is disquieting, sometimes strident, and always critical of current trends. It deserves widespread distribution. -- Dennis Keeney, Senior Fellow, Institute for Trade and Agriculture Policy; Emeritus Professor, Iowa State University
