First paperback printing. Originally published by Dodd, Mead & Company in hardback. Ross Macdonald's second novel. Pages are lightly toned but clean without creases, marks, stains or wrinkles. There is no reading crease in the spine but the book leans slightly to the right. There are a few tiny tan speckles on the back cover, otherwise the book's exterior is clean. There are a few light creases from top to bottom of the back cover and top to bottom slight creases parallel to and close to the spine on both front and back covers. Slight wear to edges of covers and spine. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) PayPal always welcome. We pack all our books with care and ship in cardboard boxes.
