About this title

Synopsis

This book tells the remarkable story of Brian Dixon who, following a dramatic conversion, became a gifted and energetic evangelist, first rising to the call to ministry under John Nelson Parr, the founder of Assemblies of God in Great Britain. He devoted many years of ministry to Mr Parr's legendary Bethshan Tabernacle in Longsight, Manchester, the Assemblies of God's flagship church. Brian's exploits went on to include missionary work in South Africa, leading a church in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire and many years of missionary work in Romania even in his old age. Brian is still an evangelist at heart, striking up conversations wherever he goes and relishing any opportunities to take the pulpit. Ben Pugh (son-in-law).
