An avid angler, hunter, and hiker, Jacobs has written more than 50 articles on outdoor sporting, and another fishing handbook, BASS FISHING IN GEORGIA (Peachtree Publishers, Ltd.). He has won several "Excellence in Craft" awards for magazine writing from the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association and the Southern Outdoor Press Association.
