About the Author

Jimmy Jacobs is a lifelond resident of Gerogia who has spent the past 40-plus years fishing for bass in the Peach State's waterways. He holds a degree in journalism form Georgia State University and is the editor of Georgia Sportsman, Alabama Fish & Game, and Florida Game & Fish magazines. An avid angler, hunter, and hiker, Jacobs has written more than 50 articles on outdoor sporting, and another fishing handbook, BASS FISHING IN GEORGIA (Peachtree Publishers, Ltd.). He has won several "Excellence in Craft" awards for magazine writing from the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association and the Southern Outdoor Press Association.
