True Christianity Book 1 Repentance: Divine Name Edition

A Christian classic on repentance, renewal, and the life of true faith—now presented in a Divine Name Edition.

True Christianity, Book 1: Repentance by Johann Arndt is one of the great devotional works of the Christian tradition. First published in the early seventeenth century, this powerful book helped shape Lutheran pietism, influenced generations of believers across Europe, and helped form the spiritual atmosphere that later touched Norway through Hans Nielsen Hauge and the Haugean revival.

In this first book of True Christianity, Arndt calls readers beyond outward religion into a living, active faith. He explores the image of Elohim in man, the fall of Adam, the need for inner renewal in Mashiach, true repentance, the new birth, the death of the old man, and the daily transformation of the believer through the grace of Elohim.

This edition preserves the historic strength of Arndt’s message while presenting it in a form suited to readers who value the Hebrew roots of the faith. Divine names have been restored editorially, using forms such as Yahuwah, Elohim, and Adonai Yeshua HaMashiach, giving this classic work a distinctive Divine Name presentation.

This volume includes:

• Johann Arndt’s enduring Book 1 on repentance
• A foreword by Antony Hylton
• A presentation designed for contemporary readers
• A valuable resource for devotional reading, teaching, and spiritual reflection

For readers interested in Christian classics, repentance, sanctification, the inner life, pietism, Lutheran spirituality, and the history of revival, this edition offers a rich and challenging guide to genuine faith.
