True Churchmanship Vindicated: Or The Protestant Episcopal Church Not Exclusive (1851)

True Churchmanship Vindicated: Or The Protestant Episcopal Church Not Exclusive is a book written by Mason Gallagher in 1851. The book is a defense of the Protestant Episcopal Church against accusations of exclusivity. Gallagher argues that the Church is not exclusive and that it welcomes all Christians who are willing to submit to its teachings and practices. He also addresses the issue of the Church's relationship with other Christian denominations, arguing that the Church should work towards unity and cooperation with other Christians. The book is a reflection of the debates and controversies surrounding the Protestant Episcopal Church in the mid-19th century and provides insight into the Church's self-understanding and its place in American religious life. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
