About the Author

Author Marion Ernest Cady is best known as one of the most industrious leaders of Healdsburg College in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Cady was known for his eloquence, opinions and aggressiveness towads his goals. He fostered a life-long enthusiasm for education, and encouraged denominational schools in a time when few were available. It was during the optimistic and expansionist leadership of Cady that the college boasted its largest faculty and student body. His influence during these critical years is showcased today in the success of former Healdsburg College, now known as Pacific Union College.
