About the Author

Richard F. Chambers is president and CEO of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the global professional association for internal auditors. He has spent more than 40 years in internal audit, serving as inspector general of the Tennessee Valley Authority, deputy inspector general of the U.S. Postal Service, and director of the U.S. Army Worldwide Internal Review Organization at the Pentagon. Before joining The IIA, he was national practice leader in Internal Audit Advisory Services at PwC. Richard is a prolific blogger and speaker, and he has been featured in numerous major media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg Radio, and CNBC. Accounting Today selected him as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Accounting, and the American City Business Journals Orlando Business Journal honored him as a top CEO of the Year.
