Missing front cover, endpapers, title page and next page, leather on spine is chipped and worn, paper sticker on spine, paper browned, owner name. Starts with Charles Bathurst's testimony concerning his daughter (page A3) Bathurst (1655-85) wrote a systematic theology of Friend's beliefs, addressed to the Society's detractors. She was read out of her Presbyterian church as a young woman for preaching against predestination. She died just 7 months after her convincement as a Friend. Smith I:210.
