Tug of War is an action/adventure love story set in the war-torn region of the Cordilleras. Jesse Beckerman, an ambitious, idealistic, and strong-willed 32-year-old American photojournalist, is on assignment in the Philippines. It is 1986, just after the ‘People Power’ revolution, when the country is transitioning from Marcos’s dictatorship to the democratically elected President, Cory Aquino.

Along the way, Jesse struggles with questions about loyalty, trust, and journalistic ethics that challenge her to the core. How will she draw the line between her emotional attachment to the handsome rebel commander and what is considered objective reporting? Is Jesse willing to sacrifice her personal ambitions for her commitment to the welfare of a community? Will there be accountability for her actions?
