Synopsis
This book arises out of a seminar held in London to mark
the seventy- fifth anniversary of the Turkish Republic. The papers
address a number of topics, including Kemalism, social change,
political development, the growth of the economy and the Cyprus
question within the context of Turkey's foreign policy. The book
includes many of the questions of the informed audience, the replies
of the speakers, and the discussion that followed.
