Sixth stated edition of a colorful and playfully illustrated book of seven children's stories about anthropomorphized animals, penned by Ruth Campbell with imagery by VE Elizabeth Cadie. A nice example of Volland's wonderful book design for children. Some of the story titles include "The Turtle Whose Snap Unfastened", "The Bee Who Broke His Buzz", and "The Bunny Who Braided Her Ears". Features some particularly handsome and whimsical endpapers, and is a nice bit of 1920s book design. Single vol. (9.25" by 6"), pp. 96, illus., in original illus. boards with illus. endpapers, no dust jacket or box (as issued?). Very god. Light dust soiling, extremities rubbed.
