Synopsis
The last time we saw Turtle Tom, he was wandering the school in search of his family. He made a new friend, went on a fascinating trip to the pet store for food and was about to get a new home. However, in an instant, that reality had changed and Turtle Tom was left outside near a pond. He was alone and confused. He missed his friend Milli. Where was Marley? Will Christopher come back for him? Turtle Tom ends up in the city. He is determined to find his family. As he travels along, Turtle Tom is excited when he is reunited with a dear friend. Along their journey, Turtle Tom encounters many more creatures. Some of them are very interesting to Turtle Tom and some of them are quite terrifying. Oh no Turtle Tom! Look out! Tom is being captured by a large metal claw. What will happen to Turtle Tom? The Turtle Tom Book Series is a wonderful story of a young turtle who strives to find the family he never knew. It is a story of challenges, fun, setbacks and excitement; but most importantly, of hope. His strength and determination proves to be a wonderful lesson for young and old alike. Throughout the book series, Turtle Tom journeys to and from some unknown origins for a little turtle. Along the way, he meets many friends and foes while getting himself into some unpredictable situations. Each story is uniquely written to flow from one book to another; yet, can also be read at any juncture in the series given the flashback intro which is provided at the beginning of each new adventure.
About the Author
Hello, my name is Morley Malaka. I am the author, self publisher and creator behind the Turtle Tom Adventures Series. In 2005, our country faced one of the worst natural disasters of hurricane Katrina. I was very fortunate to participate in some of the assistance efforts which were taking place within the shelters in New Orleans. It was at that time that I realized I had a gift for storytelling. I spent the evenings telling Turtle Tom stories to the children and parents alike. The power of a true story is that it is able to captivate the imagination of the audience and give them a sense of excitement and adventure through the characters. Over the past 10 years, I have been developing these stories and now I am very pleased to be bringing the Turtle Tom Series to all of you.
