Twelve Clay Tablets : A Structural History of Mesopotamia in Twelve Poems

Twelve Clay Tablets: A Structural History of Mesopotamia presents Mesopotamian civilization through a series of short, structured poems that model how early systems form and develop.

Each poem is built around a triad of elements and focuses on process rather than narrative-what condition exists, what changes, and what results from that change. Through these patterns, the book explores the development of irrigation, settlement, governance, and other foundational systems of early society.

Designed for classroom use as well as independent reading, the text includes supporting notes that connect each poem to historical systems and encourage analysis of cause and effect.

By shifting attention from events to structure, this work offers a clear and accessible way to understand how complex systems emerge and interact over time.
