12 matching volumes from the Everyman's Library published by J. M. Dent, in around 1905 (a former owner's neat signature on the ffep is dated 1908). Includes 11 novels by Charles Dickens; Bleak House, Little Dorrit, A Tale of Two Cities, The Old Curiosity Shop, Martin Chuzzlewhit, Barnaby Rudge, The Pickwick Papers, Sketches by Boz, Nicholas Nickleby, Dombey and Son and also Vanity Fair by W. M. Thackeray. All neatly pocket-sized, pp. Bound in red cloth with gilt floral decoration climbing the spine and gilt titles, blindstamped publisher's logo to the front board. 18 x 11 cm (each) In good to very good condition with fading to the spines, slight mottling to the boards (moreso to The Old Curiosity Shop than the other volumes), top edges faded, pages clean, a couple of volumes with light foxing to the textblock edges, bindings firm and square.
