The Twisted Turtle Adventures: Codessa's Journey

From the Twisted Turtle Adventures series
Codessa’s Journey follows Codessa "Codes," a high-energy clownfish with ADHD, and her quiet, pattern-loving baby, Cinny, who is on the autism spectrum. Their underwater world, Coral Haven, becomes both a home and a metaphor—a sanctuary where neurodiverse minds can coexist, communicate, and thrive.
The story explores how the mother-son duo learns to navigate their differences. While Codes is loud, fast, and spontaneous, Cinny finds comfort in quiet, repetitive patterns and needs space to process at his own rhythm. At first, their differing traits cause misunderstandings and frustration. But through patience, empathy, and a growing understanding of each other's needs, they build a beautiful bond.
With help from familiar sea friends—Trina the green sea turtle, Oakley the wise octopus, and Mara the nurturing mermaid—Codessa and Cinny create Coral Haven: a space filled with glowing moss, swaying kelp, and rhythmic pebbles designed to soothe and support all types of ocean minds.
The story celebrates neurodiversity, emphasizing that different ways of thinking are not deficits—they're strengths. It’s a heartwarming tale about love, inclusion, and building a safe world where everyone belongs.
