Matched early set of two volumes from the Dorothy Dainty series by Amy Brooks, consisting of Dorothy Dainty in the Country and Dorothy Dainty at Home. Both books were published by Lothrop, Lee & Shepard Co. of Boston and illustrated by the author. Each volume is bound in the publisher's original red pictorial cloth with black lettering and an inset color illustration on the front cover. The books retain their original illustrated plates and title pages. No dust jackets are present. These volumes represent early issues of the series, produced in the original decorative cloth format prior to later reprints and uniform series bindings.

Condition:
Both volumes are in Fair/Good condition. Cloth shows rubbing at corners and edges, light surface soiling, and mild fading. Spines are worn but legible. Endpapers are cracked. Interior pages are generally clean with light toning, there are a few interior marks, by a child's hand. Tape remnants are present on some interior endpapers from prior reinforcement. No loose pages observed. Some pages have turned down corners.
