Board corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed with three small bumps to top margin of front cover. Boards bow slightly out at fore-edge. Page edges lightly toned with minor offsetting to endsheets. Pages clean. A Very Good or better copy in like jacket. A mid-career novel for Highsmith, the story follows a con-artist and his wife through Greece. They accidentally kill a detective and have to hide the evidence and themselves. Adapted into a 2014 movie of the same name starring Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst, and Oscar Issac.
