A collection of reproductions of printed maps between the years 1579-1823. With Introductory Notes by William Ravenhill. 29 sheets. Also includes a few of the previous owner's maps of cities such as Edinburgh (see image). Condition - very sound - the blue morocco boards have some occasional marking/fading in places. The book's top edge has some very minor spotting. Hints of tanning internally, but not sufficient to affect any text or the b/w map illustrations.
