The publisher refers to this as "one of the earliest and most curious of all Borderland projects." "Two Inventors Return" was originally published in the May 1949 issue of "Round Robin," the newsletter of Borderland founder, Meade Layne, and was written by J. Gilbert Wright, a GE research engineer, who claimed to have made psychic contact with Charles Steinmetz and Thomas Edison. Included are drawings of the Edison Psychic Microphone and the Vandermeulen Signalling Device. Part 2 describes Project Hermes, an electronic device designed to stimulate the telepathic transmitting and receiving centers in the brain. Building instructions are included. Also for the imaginative a schematic for the Hidden World receiver from the notorious Shaver Mystery. Corner-stapled, mimeographed leaves with cover illustration of Edison and Steinmetz, 31 pp, illus. Pulp stock is brittle, browned and chipped along the edges; a later staple has been added for reinforcement, although the last leaf is loose. No record for this title in WorldCat. Scarce.
