Two consecutive issues of "Super" magazine dated from early 1993. Both issues: Colour and black and white illustrations and advertisements, 15pp; 28.5 x 21.5cm; text in Mongolian; little worn, though overall in good condition. Glorious in its embrace of the surreal and bombastic culture of the early 1990s, these two magazine issues exemplify many of the trends of the period, including fashion, music, sexuality, and sport. Evidently inspired by broader international trends from America and Japan, the Mongolian adaptations within highlight the newfound freedom of a rapidly liberalising Mongolia in the wake of the collapse of the communist regime in 1992.
