My Two Lives

What happens when the battle follows you home?

For Ray L. Buzzard, leaving the battlefield did not mean leaving the war behind.

After serving his country, Ray returned home carrying invisible wounds that would affect every part of his life. Trauma, painful memories, addiction, broken relationships, anger, and loneliness gradually pulled him into a downward spiral. The man who had once found strength in service found himself struggling simply to find a reason to keep going.

Eventually, his choices led him to incarceration and sixteen months behind steel doors.

But sometimes the darkest moments become the beginning of a new life.

My Two Lives is Ray L. Buzzard's raw and deeply personal military memoir of survival, struggle, addiction, loss, and redemption. With honesty and courage, Ray looks back at the experiences that shaped him, the mistakes that nearly destroyed him, and the people and moments that helped him find his way back.

This is more than a story about military service or the aftermath of war. It is a story about what happens when a person is forced to confront his past, accept responsibility for his choices, and discover that a broken life can still be rebuilt.

For veterans, military families, survivors of addiction, and anyone who has ever struggled to overcome the weight of their past, My Two Lives offers a powerful reminder:

Your worst chapter does not have to be your final one.

Ray's journey is one of falling, fighting, healing, and learning to live again.

Two lives. One survivor. A second chance.
