Two Old Fools on a Camel: From Spain to Bahrain and back again

Wall Street Journal Top 10 & New York Times bestselling author

A true story of expat life in the Middle East.

Reluctantly leaving their quiet Spanish mountain village, Vicky and Joe head to Bahrain for a year teaching abroad. It should be a simple adventure. Instead, they arrive as civil war erupts.

Suddenly, their year of expat life in Bahrain turns into an extraordinary journey through political unrest, cultural surprises and events making world headlines. Between lively Arab students, eccentric teachers, unexpected friendships and a spell under house arrest, nothing goes according to plan.

Perfect for anyone considering moving to the Middle East or teaching abroad.

Includes Middle Eastern recipes donated by Nadia Sawalha. This is the third book in the hilarious Old Fools travel memoir series.

Victoria and Joe finally retired to Australia to watch their new grandchildren thrive amongst kangaroos and koalas.
