Publisher's original blue cloth boards with faded stamped title on spine and white titles and decoration on the front board. Slightly shaken. Front and bottom of text block is rough cut. 246pp, several woodcuts. *** CONTENTS; First published in 1889. The author was based in Macon, Georgia, and wrote "dialect" stories about the American South. A scarce book in this edition and condition. Size: 195x120mm.
