Not dated but late 1940s publication, judging by inscription on front pastedown which is dated 1949. The Sovereign Series ("a well-produced and attractive new series of adventure and school stories for young people.") Green cloth, black titles, illustrated dust-jacket. 256 pages. Colour frontis. Apart from inscription, no marks and a very good copy. The price-clipped dust-jacket is complete with some reinforcement to the reverse. Altogether a well-preserved package for a children's item of the period.
