This book, copyrighted in August, 1904, is in G+ condition; if it was issued with a jacket, there is no jacket now. It is 7-1/2" x 4-3/4", with 312 numbered pages and a frontis + 5. The book has a slight lean and the entire exterior is clean but with a worn appearance. The front cover is clean, with the gilt lettering is intact, and the illustration is generally intact but not crisp in appearance. Spine lettering and illustration are in similar condition. All four corners are bumped with very slight fabric damage to both front corners; spine ends are bumped without fraying but with slight paint loss; there is slight wear along both front and rear gutter edges; both bottom edges also have a slight bit of wear but not fabric damage. Rear board has a horizontal crack--visible also on the rear paste down. The interior is very clean and completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage. Hinges are quite strong and not damaged in any way; the paper moderately toned and is stiff but not brittle at all.
