Wilson writes "I do not really think that my education played any large part in my writing later in my life" ["I never wrote a word until I was 36 and then only began as a hobby"(11 Aug.)] ".but it occurs to me that the English system of education at a large private school.is an aid to wide reading of literature and this obviously plays a part when one later is inspired to write."
