Two wheelbarrows outside a barn, with a rooster standing on one of them. Two chickens roam around. Etching on laid paper, made by Hermanus Fock after his own design, c. 1780-1820. Sheet size 256 x 192 mm., platemark 162 x 102 mm. Hermanus Fock (Amsterdam 1766-1822 Amsterdam) was a capable draughtsperson and printmaker. Most of his works are landscapes (some with figures), in the region around Haarlem, Amsterdam, Zandvoort and Velsen. From 1816 to 1821 he was a teacher of drawing in Franeker. In excellent condition, some foxing in the margins, but the image clean and crisp. References: undescribed.
