Science Fiction Chronicle was founded in 1978 as a department of Andrew Porter's more elaborate (but since 1984 defunct) magazine Algol, and became a separate publication in October 1979. It was a general Newszine about sf, whose coverage was not as broad as that of its competitor, the West Coast magazine Locus, though it contained much more fan material, which led to its popularity (one of these issues is 20 Anniversary issue). StarQuest magazine, a short-lived sf magazine published by Weather Vane Press and dedicated to finding and printing works by new authors and artists. In this issue (Jul/Aug 1994 Vol 1 #3) are columns by Rory Riley, book reviews by Lynn Maner, and new stories by new up and coming authors. All three mags are in excellent condition for the collector of SF fan magazines. All three magazines are in excellent condition with little to no wear inside or out.
