Jackson, Solicitor General of the United States fir Delivery at Convention Banquet of the Illinois Municipal League, Hotel Faust, Rockford Illinois, September 14, 1938". 11"x 8.5", 15 leaves. [++] Provenance: #1 is from Hon. Robert Luce (1862-1946, Representative, Mass., 1919-1941), and then to the Library of Congress. #2: rubber stamped on recto of the title page "By transfer/White House Library/October 22 1938", and then on to the Library of Congress as part of "the Pamphlet Collection". Condition: both documents have a 10mm "LC" on the bottom of the title page. Also, #1 has an old horizontal fold at center. Overall, both VG. He had previously served as United States Solicitor General and United States Attorney General, and is the only person to have held all three of those offices.
