Type by Roger Excoffon (Hardcover)

Hardcover. Roger Excoffon (191083) was an iconic French designer, painter and philosopher, best known for his typeface designs. This volume celebrates the beloved designers oeuvre through a selection of his foundry specimens, which were slim but exquisitely designed booklets published to accompany the introduction of a new typeface. Taken from the impressive collection at Letterform Archive, these rare foundry specimens offer insight into the making and uses of such historic type designs. Type by Roger Excoffon reproduces these specimens as facsimilles bound together in a trifold hardcover portfolio and includes an additional interior pocket housing smaller booklets. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
