Thirty-seven misspellings of the Hampshire Typothetæ's name, along with definitions of "typothetae"-the first "signifying type placers." Designed by Barry Moser in Centaur and Arrighi types. Printed by Harold McGrath in black, red, blue and about twelve other colors for the bullets-each requiring a separate press run. A nice thing. Oh. Wait. You don't know what the Hampshire Typothetæ was. In 1978, Moser, McGrath, Jeffrey P. Dwyer (bookseller), John Lancaster & Ruth Mortimer (curator-librarians), and John Locke (dunno) established the Hampshire Typothetae in Northampton, Massachusetts, later in West Hatfield, Massachusetts, as a commercial letterpress shop. The business was established using printing equipment that Leonard Baskin had used at his Gehenna Press. The Typothetae operated until 1986. Excellent 454.

For online orders, Katherine Small Gallery accepts returns of books within ten days of purchase. The items must be in sellable condition and must be accompanied by an original receipt, packing slip, or web order confirmation. Any returns received that do not meet these requirements will be shipped back at the customer’s expense. Refunds will be credited to the credit card used for the original purchase.
