About the authors LOWELL JAY ARTHUR is a software engineer and quality consultant with a background at both U.S. West and Bell Labs. His seminars on software evolution and related topics are well known in the industry. He has consulted with numerous Fortune 500 companies. He is also the author of Improving Software Quality, Rapid Evolutionary Development, and Software Evolution, all published by Wiley. TED BURNS is a UNIX developer and a software engineer at U.S. West with 15 years experience. Ted brings his strength in KORN Shell, UNIX workstations, and GUI interfaces to this revision of UNIX Shell Programming. He holds an MS in computer science from the University of Denver.
