Imagine you are an ornament hanging on the Christmas tree...
Imagine how magical it would feel to spread holiday joy and watch Christmas unfold from your cozy branch...
Now, imagine waking up and finding someone had tossed your tree outside, and you with it! You're freezing, alone, and desperate to find your way home. But what does the outside of your house look like? You've only ever known the attic and the Christmas tree...
Well, that is what happened to Philip, a proud drummer boy ornament. Now Philip must navigate the world outside to find his way home, back to Cindy and Angus's Christmas tree, before he hibernates-before his clay, handmade body breaks-and before next Christmas!
Eek! And certainly, before the neighborhood cat finds him!
A NOTE TO ELVES: Ornaments hate cats.
Teamed with a ragtag group of misplaced, junked, and lost ornaments, Philip embarks on a quest, north-way north-because there is only one way they all make it home to their own trees: they must find Santa.
An Ornament Story is an epic adventure Christmas tale of hope, resilience, and belief that shows how one's good actions, however small-even ornament small-can ripple through many, and maybe, just maybe, all the way to The North Pole.

Their enthusiasm motivated him to grow the tale into something more. It meant a great deal to him when they would request An Ornament Story before bed, but quickly, his wife noticed, they learned the story was his soft spot to exploit to stay up later. Currently, Sherman lives in Peachtree City with his wife, Meredith, a TV producer, and their two kids, Nolan and Matilda, drawing storyboards, driving a golf cart to school, and writing and illustrating stories between walks with their pup, Evie.
