UNKNOWN

An anthology comprising an eclectic and diverting selection of flash fiction and poetry from authors across the globe, with a range of genres, including but not limited to drama, horror, historical, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, suspense, fairy tale and comedy.

Set in worlds both familiar and strange, the narratives will in turn amuse, sadden, enchant, horrify, intrigue and empower. Walk the streets of Akihabara, blaze on the merciless cliffs of Edsea, dance at the end of the rain, and soar through space on the back of a whale. Meet the tree that survives the harvest, the dendroid that escapes the lab, and the dryad rebirthed by lightning. Dance in an extraterrestrial language, pirouette under the passioante influence of kitchen magic, or dart through fields with the faeries. Get all the sun you want with your extra sweet bikini coffee-or grab a flask of bittersweet hot chocolate and watch the world end. Laugh at the misplaced effort of carpet enthusiasts and the injustice of a misallocated blue ribbon at the county fair. Mourn lost love, lost time, and lost opportunity, and pale in the face of hidden snakeheads and the raw entreaties of the trapped. Question your morals and sanity then sink Kafta and Keurig into your coffee and rest in the tree fort where no ruminating is allowed. Trains will introduce you to misery and mercy, and teddies will steal cookies and share eyes, and you will fall in love with an Ophelia who owns five KFC franchises, the beauty of the sunrise over Lake Quinault, and a girl with a mouth full of marbles.
