This rare gem of a self-defence book hails from Sri-Lankan (then Ceylon) native R. A Vairamuttu. Forwarded by a student of said instructor, and chief justice for the island nation, Sir Alan Rose.

This 1954 guide showcases his Chinese-inspired art of "Cheena-Adi" alongside Ju Jitsu and "Indian Stick Fighting". Via a series of carefully laid of lessons covering armed and unarmed defence, the author builds knowledge of the skills and attributes needed to survive an assault.

This unique guide draws heavily on Indian and Sri-Lankan martial traditions and deploys easy to follow 'multi frame' technique panels to see how they flow in sequence.

The author explores other eastern physical culture methods like Yoga and the vegan / vegetarian diet, alongside the hard skills of calisthenics and self-defence.
