Acclaimed author of The Life of Little George Henderson, Jennifer D. Anger-Baeta, returns with The Curious Life of Charles Ray and offers a unique perspective on a shocking true story, and a murder case that was so cruel that it quickly became the crime of the decade.

Mysterious and provocative, The Curious Life of Charles Ray follows the actual historical records and closely examines one of Arizona's largest historical court cases, and one of Arizona's most haunting murder mysteries. Based on a true story, The Curious Life of Charles Ray takes a step back in time to follow the incredible journey behind one of Arizona's earliest pioneers, and it investigates the mining man's involvement in one of Arizona's most horrifying and gruesome murders.

Jennifer was columnist for a newspaper in San Francisco before she moved away from the news desk and transitioned into an academic research position around the year 2010. She has also worked as a teacher, an editor, a business consultant, and a project manager.

Jennifer grew up in California, and after suffering head trauma in a motorcycle accident in 2006, she relocated to Yavapai County, Arizona. Jennifer lives in the mountains of Arizona with her family and her children on their small farm along with her rescued dogs, a flock of chickens, two ducks, one guinea pig, and one cat.

Jennifer's formal studies focused on forensic psychology, business management, and economics, and she completed her post graduate studies in 2018. Jennifer also studied history, and genealogy, and hopes that her writing will give her readers a true taste for Arizona, and a better look at what the wild west was really like.
