When profits come before lives, justice becomes personal

The ground doesn't just hold secrets in Bone Valley—it bleeds them.

When a whistleblower's tip pulls investigative journalist Jack Kendall into Florida's phosphate fields, he expects a story about pollution and neglect. What he finds is murder. A serial killer is hunting near the mines, and every victim has a reason to die. Every suspect had a reason to lie. Every connection leads back to one powerful company with everything to lose.

Kendall teams up with police reporter Bobbie Jackson to follow the money behind the contamination, the cover-ups, and a body count that keeps climbing. But the danger isn't just the killer who knows his name or the executives determined to bury the truth. It's a Category 5 hurricane bearing down on Florida's coast—and a toxic spill threatening entire communities. Dead men tell no tales, but their bodies do, and Kendall is running out of time to listen.

This is Florida crime fiction at its most gripping—a Florida thriller where greed poisons everything and justice comes at a price no court can set. Beneath the surface, a legal maze protects the guilty. Above it, a deadly storm closes in. Kendall must decide how much he's willing to risk against enemies who have never lost.

For readers of investigative thrillers and murder mysteries grounded in real-world danger, the Jack Kendall series takes you where the story goes—no matter who tries to stop it.

The Jack Kendall Investigative Reporter Mystery Series

Perfect for readers who enjoy investigative journalism thrillers, corruption mysteries, and crime fiction based on real-world issues.

Praise for the Jack Kendall Mystery series:

Worth reading
A die-hard reporter wants facts exposed before it's too late, but corporate greed prefers the unthinkable to admitting the truth.
Besides mystery seekers, environmentalists, criminologists, journalists, historians, and those fascinated by the progression of mental illness in the 1980s will enjoy the read. The book ties up loose ends within it and from previous Jack Kendall mysteries. Take a slow, close read. Savor the details. Still, you will not see the ending coming.
