Synopsis
Bob Jordan began his restoration industry experience as an owner, founding Restoration Associates Northwest, Inc., in late 2016 at age 58. He had no previous experience in restoration, construction, or the trades.
After 38 years in the corporate world working as a hands-on Assembler, Chemical Technician, then Materials and Process Engineer in Aerospace, Medical Device, and Department of Defense industries, Bob found himself looking for a new opportunity, which came in the form of a restoration franchise, his first business ownership endeavor.
Bob is a licensed professional engineer, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology, and a degree in chemical technology. He has 12 US patents and spent ten yars teacing engineering, math, and chemistry at the collegiate level. He also has multiple restoration industry-recognized certifications.
Additionally, he has served consistently as a Brand Ambassador advising potential owners and is a formal member and resource in his franchise’s Mentorship Program. His company mission is “Leverage technology to reduce cost and disruption.”
In his franchise Bob is a multi-site owner, a three-time President’s Circle winner, among other awards. He’s a hands-on owner, having worked full-time in the field for 3-1/2 years, and frequently in the field, by choice, for another four years after that, becoming expert in developing materials and processes for the core restoration services of water, mold, fire, smoke, and biohazard.
Bob is considered a subject matter expert in materials science, property restoration, and leadership, having served in corporate America as engineering manager, VP of engineering, and general manager in multiple high-technology design and manufacturing industries. His passion is helping customers in need, and helping new, inexperienced franchise owners to get profitable faster, and to do so by knowing how to perform the many mitigation services our industry provides.
This how-to and where-to-go Handbook is dedicated to the new owner, and any beginner restoration technician, as well as the new desk and field adjuster, who want to do a good work in this noble field and lift the burdens of those affected by property damage.

As a systems thinker and results-driven leader, Bob has implemented QMS and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, developed new product strategies that generated millions in revenue, and managed diverse, multi-disciplinary teams with an empowering leadership style.Bob's expertise extends to teaching and mentoring, having spent 10 years as a college-level instructor in engineering, math, and science. He's also an international trainer, consultant, and writer, with over 300 technical and teaching papers to his name.In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bob has been actively involved in prison ministry for over 46 years, providing mentorship, training, and support to inmates across Washington State and beyond. His international missions work has taken him to over 25 countries, where he's taught Christian principles to inmates, ministry best practices to volunteers, repaired critical infrastructure, assisted medical missions doctors, and supported community development projects.Bob's personal life is as vibrant as his professional one. He and his family have traveled to all 48 continental U.S. states in their RV, camping, hiking, and biking through the country's natural wonders. Bob and his wife have been to all 50 states.
