Introduction to Computer-Aided Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing: Using Mechanical Model is an overview of the process leading up to a manufactured product. The software is built using Java and Fortran. The second section validates the theoretical approaches through the experimental results and uses strain gauges with wired (LabVIEW) and wireless devices (LORD MicroStrain). From prefabrication to post-fabrication stress analysis, each stage of the model is featured, including wireless operation, monitoring performance of post-fabrication using prototypes, and a concept of collecting run-time data from post-fabrication. Each stage is complete with comprehensive instructions, images, and figures.
