What monsters lie within?

The 1850s American frontier is a dangerous place. People flee to the wilds for many reasons. Some seek escape. Some seek salvation. But the past has a way of following. In the dark forests, something ancient stirs. Some say it was always there, in the land itself. Some say the dark priests brought it with them. Still others say… it lies within.

Ambrose is searching for someone: a friend and mentor, lost somewhere in the town of St. Gregory - in its insular abbey, its backwards churches, its darkened streets, its haunted forests… But a web of black magic, betrayal and occult horror threaten to ensnare as the cultish town slowly reveals itself. Old world monsters haunt the night, Native American legends stalk the forests, and the occult lies beneath the shadowed surface.

The waking world threatens, but the world beyond the veil might consume his soul. Will he find his way, or lose himself completely? And who is this mysterious woman?

St. Gregory is a gothic horror novel blending historical fiction, religious dread, and dark psychological suspense. Perfect for readers of supernatural thrillers, religious horror, and American gothic fiction, and fans of Dan Simmons, Shirley Jackson, William Peter Blatty.
