Synopsis

Fire and flood rain down as the Egyptian goddess Hathor suddenly morphs from a nurturing cow into a flying, flame-spouting lion. To keep her wayward daughter from devouring all humanity, Isis needs a hero. Someone with a uniquely wide-ranging experience of gods and goddesses. Positive or not.

So she sends for Odysseus. Or rather, she sends a time storm to sweep him up from his long quest to return to his beloved Penelope. Isis even throws in a balloon ship to speed him on his quest. Unfortunately, the balloon ship comes with a crew of Amazons possessed of a seething hatred of all males.

The Amazons hope to save their home island from the world flood now devastating Egypt. But as they race up the Nile toward the Temple of Hathor, they find themselves fighting running battles with the mad Pharoah Akhenaten and his even madder Queen Nefertiti. As Isis manages to get sideways with Pallas Athena, Odysseus gets cross-ways with Set, God of Evil. As the gods start flinging their own after-worldly contributions into the massive game of turn-about's-fair-play rolling up the Nile, Taranga, captain of the Amazons, must weigh whether to call on the wiles of this despised male, or sacrifice to their ocean goddess parts of him he'd really rather not do without.
