He had one goal this summer—stay away from his best friend’s little sister. If only he could forget about that kiss…

Kate
Terminally single—that’s what my future holds for me if my brother doesn’t learn some boundaries. Our family has been through the ringer. I get it. But there is no boogeyman out to get me, and if there was, I’d much rather my brother’s best friend, Caleb—who I’m in love with—be the one to protect me. That is, if I was into the whole damsel-in-distress thing. Unfortunately, Caleb isn’t interested in me. At least, that’s what I thought until he kissed me. Now I’m not so sure.

Caleb
When my best friend needs a new roping partner, I’m ready. After all, I owe him my life. But then his sister, Kate, shows up, desperate to get out of town, and next thing I know, we’re sharing a motel room. All the cold showers in the world won’t get me through this summer. Truth is, I’m in love with her. But she’s completely off-limits, and I’ve already slipped once. I can’t let it happen again. Not while the fate of their homestead depends on us winning.
