You don't wake up in the afterlife. You get inducted.
After a school shooting, sixteen-year-old Remy Moreau finds herself inducted into Afterdeath-a digital hereafter where everything is orderly, optimized, and waiting for you to adapt. But Remy isn't ready to move on, or to be processed into someone she's not. The world expects her to pick a realm, follow the prompts, and find closure on a schedule. She refuses.
Instead, Remy scavenges meaning in places the system can't half-remembered campfires, endless aisles in an impossible department store, fleeting connections with others who don't fit the mold. She builds her own unfinished spaces-not to outsmart the system, but to stay messy, uncertain, and real-even when everyone else wants her to be complete.
Noetic Gravity is a novel about the unfinished business of being alive-and what it means to navigate someone else's idea of peace before you've found your own.
You thought you had college, retirement, and life's twists already mastered. But what about after? At Afterdeath Inc., we engineer a seamless passage beyond biology-because while life is merely a demo, your afterlife is the uncut, limitless edition.

I don't usually go for fiction, but this book really... supports me. Every chapter left me feeling refreshed, aligned, and oddly well-rested. Like sleeping on a cloud of existential dread-but in a good way.

My debut novel, Noetic Gravity, lands June 10th, 2025. But honestly, I've been telling stories as long as I've had an audience-even if, for years, that meant just myself, a close friend, or my son before bed. I'm a proud Canadian and a dad, and before turning to writing full-time, I spent years teaching and working on the front lines of mental health support. That work-and the people I met-still shapes everything I write.Noetic Gravity isn't your standard-issue speculative fiction. I avoid easy tropes, quick shocks, and the usual parade of chosen ones and world-ending disasters. Instead, I aim for something stranger and truer-a kind of speculative realism that values actual people over plot machinery. If you need a shortcut: picture Alice in Wonderland meets Ready Player One, but with a bit more heart, less bombast, and a sense of humor about its own weirdness. Or, if you like your literary references old school, think The Left Hand of Darkness with a wink, not a sermon.I believe a story can go deep without getting heavy-handed, and that the best moments happen in the quiet spaces between. Noetic Gravity is my attempt at a magnum opus, right out of the gate-starting with my most complex work first and hoping the rest of my writing life gets simpler from here. Now that the book is leaving the safe confines of Gage Force Publishing and heading into readers' hands, I'm equal parts excited, terrified, and deeply grateful.Let's see what gravity brings.
