"The key to happiness is simple: be present."

Happiness only arises when you are engaged in the present moment, just like love. If you reflect on the happiest moments in your life, you will find that you were fully present. This simple fact gives rise to two questions: first, if happiness is this simple, why is life so difficult? Second, why does happiness only arise when we are present?

“How to Find Your Soul and be Happy” explores the nature of happiness and the obstacles that prevent us from achieving it. Discovering a stable happiness means finding your soul, and in finding your soul, you will simultaneously find unshakable happiness. The wisdom of the saints from all faith traditions holds true: “The Kingdom of God is within you” or “You are made up of a substance called love.” This book systematically explores why this is true and provides a process for individuals to discover it for themselves.

When you purchase this book, you'll gain access to a variety of online resources. These include meditation exercises, mindfulness assignments for each chapter, numerous optional meditations, an online community, and more. These resources are a key component of the book and enhance the overall experience.

This book/course draws from three ways of knowing: the sciences, spiritual traditions, and our own internal experiences, integrating them to offer a path to discovering the beauty and divinity within oneself, which is one’s most fundamental nature.

From a young age, Doug has been curious about life’s fundamental questions. His curiosity has led him through the physical sciences and to a master’s degree in Theology. This path also brought him to meditation, where he discovered a different way of knowing. Doug began teaching meditation in 1996 and has continued to explore the nature of life and existence.
