US Army veteran shares his hopes and fears for a divided America in this faith-based commentary.

Frustrated by the growing division within American politics over the last four years, US Army veteran William Lawrence Drake examines the state of American political discourse from a biblical perspective. The Transition of America casts a thoughtful eye on current affairs under the Trump administration, including DOGE, deportations, militants in America, men in women's sports, hate groups, DEI, and division within the church. In this essay collection, Drake argues for more leadership among Christians. Quoting the Bible, Robert's Rules of Order, The Constitution, and the devotional God's Wisdom for Today, Drake makes the case for a return to common sense and calls for an end to divisive politics, imploring readers to stop disregarding God's divine plan. Without honor, lost, and floundering, can America right the ship before it's too late?

A lament on the polarization of American politics, The Transition of America issues a stark warning to readers old and young to renew their faith in God and in America.
