Imagine if The Great British Bake Off, The Devil Wears Prada, and Kiki's Delivery Service converged together to create one story. This would be it.

Shy but optimistic Emiliana loves two things above all else: baking and her hometown of Lily's Valley. Despite an early Coeliac diagnosis, Emiliana has made great strides in redefining her relationship with baking, creatively reinventing traditional recipes to break the limitations of her disease. Emiliana dreams of continuing her family's legacy and expanding the baking line at LV Baked Goods, LLC to be more inclusive of those with similar ailments.

But working under the watchful-and sometimes oppressive-eye of her domineering mother, Geraldine, leaves Emiliana little room to grow as a baker or even as a person. Geraldine finds fault with nearly everything about Emiliana, from her sensitive personality to the muted colours she prefers and her subdued fashion sense. And she certainly hasn't been open to expanding the LV Baked Goods line. That is until Geraldine announces a baking contest within the company that will help name her second in command. Emiliana sees an opportunity not just to grow but to win her mother's approval and forge a bond with her-even if it means changing everything about who she is until she can't recognize herself anymore.

However, every attempt at pleasing her mother brings Emiliana closer to realising her disconnect with Geraldine might be irreversible. With the help of her long-time friend Leandra and the mysterious stranger across the hall known only as A, Emiliana may just begin to reimagine what the meaning of family is, what it is she wants from life, and whom she most wishes to become.

I'm an Atlanta-based painter, seamstress, illustrator and film enthusiast. After earning my BFA in painting from the University of Florida College of Fine Arts in 2014 I've worked to build a robust freelance practice, chasing my interests to new and exciting areas of creative production. I specialize in illustrating with traditional media, working to bring a thoughtful, conceptual eye to a diverse array of projects. Peruse the objects on my homepage to view my portfolio which is organized by topic: film posters, print media, branding projects, merchandise, and my personal fine art practice. You can find me working in and around the local film community, stocking the shelves at the last remaining video store in Atlanta, occasionally stitching for film and tv, and exhibiting works of art around the South East.

I live and breathe books- I read them, I write them, and I also edit them. For me, stories are magic. They're where imagination and connection meet-it's that ethereral plane where minds can see each other free of physical constraints. I can't imagine a life without them. I can only describe becoming an editor like fate fullfilling itself. No work I've done before has felt more fitting and right.I've honed my craft through certifications in proofreading, copyediting, line editing, and developmental editing, with training from Edit Republic and UCLA Extension. This solid foundation allows me to tailor my editing approach to suit your manuscript's unique needs, whether it's polishing your prose, enhancing your story's structure, or offering guidance that helps your voice shine.
